Throughout the week, Derbyshire LGBT+ offers an ‘Open Door’ drop-In service in various locations. Dubbed ‘Spill The Tea’, this service is open to anybody who identifies as LGBT+, as well as their friends and families.

Spill The Tea

Spill The Tea is held weekly at our Derby and Chesterfield locations:

Derby: Wednesday 11am-3pm

Chesterfield: Thursday 11am-3pm

We also take ‘Spill The Tea’ out into the wider Derbyshire area! We will make announcements via our website and social media of when we will be bringing ‘Spill The Tea’ to an area near you.

Our ‘Spill The Tea’ service aims to create a warm, welcoming environment where anybody is free to come along to one of our centres with no prior appointment or notice necessary.

Contact us to speak to a member of the team or just come along and have a coffee and use the space with the library of LGBT+ books and DVDs to use. During these sessions, you can speak confidentially to members of our experienced staff or our volunteer team about any issues that may be troubling you. This includes issues around health, well-being, employment or legal rights. Seeing us at one of these sessions will mean we can arrange an appointment with the right member of our team at another time.

You can also use this service to make use of our comfortable lounge area, relax and chat, catch up on the latest issues of DivaBCN, Attitude and GT magazines.

We pride ourselves on making this service as accessible as possible so if there is anything that we can do to make your visit to us more comfortable, please do not hesitate to contact us at info@derbyshirelgbt.org.uk or call us on 01332 207 704.
