Rainbow Accreditation
We are increasingly called upon by small businesses and larger organisations who recognise that they need to support their LGBT+ staff and client base. As an organisation, Derbyshire LGBT+ is committed to ensuring that the experience of LGBT+ staff, volunteers, clients and service users is positive and supportive, and we are committed to working with organisations to develop their inclusive practices at all staffing levels.
To this end, Derbyshire LGBT+ has developed the ‘Rainbow Accreditation’ scheme. There are a number of ways that this scheme operates depending on the size of your organisation and these schemes plug the gaps left by similar accreditation schemes by providing face-to-face support from experienced staff who know our county.
Rainbow Allies
Tailored for organisations of 1 - 5 people and self-employed people.

A full day of training with Derbyshire LGBT+ staff.
Annual re-evaluation.
On-going support and training.
Help in developing marketing materials, public areas etc. to be more inclusive.
Help with fundraising and signposting.
Badges*
Rainbow Connection
Tailored for organisations of 6 - 19 people.

A ‘Recognition of Commitment’ certificate.
A manual, digital guide and memory stick to support you on your journey towards accreditation.
Feedback to guide you through the accreditation process.
On-going support and training from Derbyshire LGBT+ staff.
Badges and a recognition plaque once you have gained accredited status.
Re-assessment after two years.
Reduction on cost for further training.
Includes ‘working towards’ logos for use on websites, emails, letterheads etc.
Rainbow Partnership
Tailored for organisations of 20+ people.
